NEW MEMBERS
next acting members auditions: April 2018
AUDITION
You don’t need to have any previous experience to join ESNA, entry to the society is via audition alone - we hold these audition sessions twice a year, usually in spring and autumn. All prospective members will need to prepare an audition song and bring either a backing track or sheet music.
Previous members who wish to return and have missed three consecutive shows, should contact the committee.
REHEARSALS
We rehearse on Friday nights between 7:30pm and 10pm at the United Reform Church on Frederick Street, Loughborough. There are also rehearsals (primarily for principle roles) on Thursdays between 7:30pm and 10pm at the Glenmore Centre in Shepshed.
It is expected of all members participating in a show, that they attend at least 90% of the rehearsals they are called for.
MEMBERSHIP & SHOW FEES
Membership to the society is £25 a year for waged, £12.50 unwaged, and a £70 show fee (for shows you are participating in) is also payable. The show fee is to cover the cost of insurance, rehearsal rooms, scrips & scores and license fees.
SHOW WEEK
ESNA perform two shows a year at Loughborough Town Hall, usually in April and November. Show week consists of a full day at the theatre on the Sunday preceding a show and then every evening of the week from 6:00pm. There is usually a matinee performance on the Saturday at 2:30pm.
